Biographical

Bif Naked (Beth Torbert) was born in New Delhi, India on June 17th, 1971 to two students. She was adopted by American missionaries, who settled eventually in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She graduated from John Taylor Collegiate and studied theatre at the University of Winnipeg. Due to a heart aneurysm, she adopted a strictly vegan lifestyle. Before breaking out alone in the music industry, she played with the punk bands Gorilla Gorilla and Chrome Dog. In 1990 Bif married Brett Hopkins, briefly.

Bif Naked has been in movies including "House of the Dead" and "Lunch with Charles" as well as various episodes of television shows such as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "The L Word." She has releases poetry, like her Spoken Word album (Okenspay Ordway) and now runs the label Her Royal Majesty's Records. She now records under the Bodog Music label.
